What are maximum bids?
A maximum bid is the highest amount that you are willing to bid on an item. The KincaidAuction.com system will automatically implement your maximum bid to keep you in the lead at the lowest available increment. Maximum bids are never revealed to other bidders.
Why place maximum bids?
Maximum bids are a convenient way for you to stay involved in the bidding on an item without having to constantly monitor the auction. You can place your maximum bid early and allow Kincaid Auction's system to implement your maximum bid to keep you in the lead at the lowest available increment. If your maximum is reached, prior to the start of auction close, an email alert will be sent. In the case of a tie, the maximum bid submitted earliest will stay in the lead.
Raising your maximum bid
If you are the lead bidder on an item and would like to raise your maximum bid, simply leave the Your Bid field empty and submit your bid in the Your Maximum field. To review your bid status, click here.
